Introduction

Message from Prof. Hirata

Our laboratory is the world leader in the research of next generation electromagnetic energy based actuator and sensor devices, and design engineering through computer simulation.

Our education principles are “on the spot learning”, “seeing the actual thing”, “practicality”, “principled thinking”, and “sticking to basics”. We mainly have undergraduate students participate in industry-academic-government joint researches and projects with the aim of educating them to be capable of planning their own projects and understanding modern technology tendencies.

We especially do our best in the education of our master’s and Ph.D. course students by providing the finest education program available so that they are capable of creating and propelling their own research project and have the ability to cooperate and negotiate with companies and organizations. Through their own research, we also educate them to enhance their professionalism and cosmopolitan outlook as an engineer by having them present in domestic and international academic conferences, and giving them chances to study overseas.
