Non-contact magnetic position sensors Position sensors are essential for the positioning of robot joints. Conventionally, contact-type potentionmeters were used but problems with bad connections existed. We are researching ways to design a contactless position sensor by sensing the impedance change in the excitation coils.

EStroke reset sensors

Stroke reset sensors It is absolutely essential to be able to precisely determine the position of the arm, boom, and bucket of construction machineries for automated operation. Currently, although the position can be determined, problems with cost and handling exist. We are trying to solve these problmes and increase the positioning accuracy by combining stroke and reset sensors.

ESmall saturation low frequency eddy current device

Small saturation low frequency eddy current device In Japan, 8% of water pipes are used more than 40 years. However, only 1% is updated every year and old pipes continue to increase. In order to prioritize and update them, inspection techniques of external corrosion of the pipes which do not need any excavations are necessary. Conventional eddy current inspection method is not used because the external corrosions of the pipes are inspected from inner surfaces of the pipes. We have been developed our original inspection method by improving conventional SLOFEC.
